Harvest Records is pleased to present our first mixtape, featuring 12 songs from 12 Harvest artists, including the likes of BANKS, White Lies, The Preatures, andSyd Arthur, to name a few. Harvest is dedicated to true artist development, with a diverse roster, spanning all genres of music, from every corner of the globe. We hope you enjoy and discover some new music that you love as much as we do. Harvest will donate the net proceeds raised from the mixtape's tips to Oxfam America, to help fund disaster relief efforts in the Philippines. Australian indie-folk sensation BOY & BEAR are celebrating their Gold-certified sophomore album with Harlequin Dream Sampler featuring two stand-out singles from the album (“Southern Sun” and “Three Headed Woman”), plus additional live tracks from their MusicFeeds Session performance. The Farewell Drifters have been called “the best of what’s next” by Paste Magazine and said to possess an “exuberant musical intelligence” by No Depression. On their Compass Records debut, Tomorrow Forever (due Jan 28), the band takes another musical leap forward solidifying their place among the important bands emerging in the wake of the neo-folk path blazed by the Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons and Fleet Foxes. The new album was produced by pop-roots specialist Neilson Hubbard (Matthew Perryman Jones, The Apache Relay, Glen Philips) and showcases the Drifters’ Brian Wilson-esque pop sensibility, crystalline harmonies and folk foundations alongside gutsy electric guitar and orchestral-style drums.
